What you'll be doing?
  • Hardware support: Install, move, add, and change IT equipment, ensuring smooth operations of the data center.
  • Equipment management: Decommission IT equipment and handle media management, including HDD/SSD destruction and disposals.
  • Cabling expertise: Connect and disconnect patch cables to equipment in the data center, maintaining organized and efficient setups.
  • Server maintenance: Perform hardware break-fix support, including installation of parts, module reseating, and component replacements.
  • Facility oversight: Conduct regular physical and visual inspections of equipment and data center operations facilities.
  • On-site support: Provide assistance during scheduled maintenance and change events, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Troubleshooting: Address issues related to IT and network equipment, applying your problem-solving skills.
  • Inventory control: Manage RMA, cold spares, equipment, and tools inventory, keeping everything organized and accessible.
  • Vendor coordination: Manage vendor relationships, including supervision duties.
  • Access management: Handle data center access requests, maintaining security protocols.
  • POP site support: Provide operations support and standby assistance for POP sites.
  • Reporting and improvement: Deliver regular progress reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Flexible support: Offer after-hours support based on on-call schedules and shift work as required.
Who are they looking for?
  • Data center experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of experience in data center operations, but candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
  • Cabling knowledge: Good understanding of data structured cabling and patching is essential for this role.
  • Hardware expertise: Experience in hardware support, breakfix, and troubleshooting is highly valued.
  • Communication skills: Ability to respond to issues, provide timely updates, and escalate when necessary is crucial.
  • Critical environment experience: While not required, experience in large-scale critical environments is a plus.
  • Language proficiency: Proficiency in English and Malay is beneficial for effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
  • Educational background: SPM level candidates are welcome to apply. If you're a degree holder in a relevant field, that's great too
