Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
Are you passionate about the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and educational impact? We are seeking a Product Lead – Technical and Pedagogic Integration to drive the integration of advanced AI capabilities with educational best practices.

This pivotal role sits within the Data, Analytics, and AI (DAAI) team, Education Futures, and is responsible for bridging the gap between technical innovation and classroom application.

About The Role
You will lead strategic initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical solutions (such as AI automation and workflow platforms) that enhance operational efficiency and educational outcomes. Your expertise will ensure that our AI tools are not only technically robust but also pedagogically sound, especially in partnership-driven educational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership in embedding AI into educational products, ensuring alignment with best teaching practices and classroom realities.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of AI-enhanced educational products (POVs, POCs, Pilots, MVPs) with a focus on usability, learning outcomes, and strategic impact.
  • Champion internal capability building, advancing AI literacy and data-informed decision-making across teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and pedagogic trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Represent the organisation in high-level stakeholder engagements, supporting the acquisition and delivery of Partnership for Education contracts.
  • Lead contributions to bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring robust technical and pedagogic integration.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements, should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

About You

  • Deep knowledge of Generative AI technologies, automation platforms (e.g., n8n), and their application in education.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pedagogic theory and practice, especially in integrating AI into curriculum design and classroom delivery.
  • Experience leading complex projects in global, fast-paced environments, with a comprehensive understanding of product development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders across diverse geographies and business units.
  • Advanced skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience developing and delivering professional development for educators and technical teams.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in AI, data analytics, and educational innovation.
