Assistant Project Manager
located in
Prai, Penang
.

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction and renovation projects within an organization's facilities. This role ensures that all projects meet quality standards, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage end-to-end construction projects including new builds, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Ensure projects adhere to design specifications, safety codes, and legal regulations.
• Good knowledge in Mechanical, electrical, CSA & IETS.
• Adequate vast experience in system design review for Chiller, CDA, PCW, IETS, FLSS, GAS, ESD, Electrical and Control environment is must.
• Reviewing technical scope to align required design defines capacity.
• Supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
• Resolve conflicts and ensure smooth communication between stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets and control costs without compromising quality
• Approve invoices, change orders, VO's, and procurement of materials.
• Scrutinize to verifying BOQ and SoW relevant to the project needs.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
• Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, permits, and inspections
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and issues
• Involvements in various facilities/utilities equipment FAT, QAQC and site incoming material buy-off

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Requirement Education bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, or related field Experience 8+ years in construction and or e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
• Knowledge of Greenfield & Brownfield is an added advantage.
