Clinical Responsibilities:

1. Chairside Assistance:

  • Prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures.

  • Assist the dentist during treatments and surgeries, handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear field of vision.

2. Infection Control:

  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

  • Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

3. Patient Preparation:

  • Welcome and prepare patients for their dental procedures.

  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.

4. Radiography:

  • Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety precautions.

  • Process and maintain X-ray images.

5. Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection and patient confidentiality regulations.

  • Clinical Support:

  • Assist with various dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.

  • Handle dental impressions and cast models.
