About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Cum Environmental Officer to join our team at PULAI CALCIUM INDUSTRIES SDN BHD' in Ipoh, Perak. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and ensuring the company's environmental compliance.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the procurement process, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies
  • Monitor and analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices throughout the procurement process
  • Liaise with others , including production, logistics, and sustainability teams, to coordinate procurement activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement and environmental compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the procurement and environmental management functions
  • Provide regular reports on procurement and environmental performance to management

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or environmental management, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance cost, quality, and sustainability considerations
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and experience in implementing environmental management systems
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use relevant software tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
