Purpose of the position

  • Take the lead in responding to technical enquiry from Healthcare Sales Team in Malaysia, with regard to supply, installation, commissioning, operation, & maintenance of medical equipment (such as medical air compressor, medical vacuum pump, AGSS, AVSU, Bedhead, Pendant, gas detectors & alarm system), medical gases pipeline system (MGPS), and PSO of Healthcare Sales Team's QI Services.
  • Manage the execution of MES (Medical Engineering Services) projects in Malaysia

Principal responsibilities

- Design the respective supply system, based on an agreed business model with Healthcare Sales Team

- Coordinate with Healthcare Sales Team and customers to seek clarification and understanding of technical requirements

- Review Bid/Tender Documents and ascertain client's requirements

- Prepare the respective technical proposal, drawings (such as P&ID, GA drawings, layout drawings, and isometric drawings), and technical presentation

- Prepare costing sheet for Healthcare Sales Team, for them to work out the commercial proposal

- Conduct material/contractor sourcing for costing and proposal preparation, working closely with the to come out with the most cost-competitive design

- Prepare Bid Documents and conduct RFQ to potential suppliers/contractors.

- Evaluate the technical & commercial submission of contractors and material suppliers.

o Take the lead in all project activities, including engineering, design calculation, proposal

preparation, attending technical clarification meetings, costing/ budgeting, resources/

manpower allocation, equipment selection and procurement, attending kick-off meeting

and project progress/review meeting and etc.

o Ensure the design of the system is in compliance with MS Standards, HTM standard,

statutory regulations, and applicable codes/ accepted engineering practices

o Planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation and commissioning of

Healthcare/Medical projects

o Provide engineering and technical support to other team members.

- Take a lead in all activities related to GDPMD requirements on project position, such as renewal, audits, meetings, technical enquiries, closing on findings.

- Provide technical and documents support on preventive maintenance contracts.

- Manage and monitor in-house technical team on their job arrangements and day-to-day tasks and ensure compliance to Linde's policy.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

- Strong Written Er Verbal Communication Skills in English and Malay

  • Possess technical knowledge in the supply chain of Healthcare business, such as the

    design of medical gases distribution piping, and etc.

  • Well-verse with HTM standard, Linde medical O&ED requirement, GDPMD, and MDA Well-

    verse with MS :2017 standard

  • Well-verse in using engineering software, such as pipe sizing software etc.

  • Proactive/ takes Initiative in problem solving

  • Well-verse in MS Office, MS Project, SAP, and AutoCAD/Solid Work

  • Good in documentation
