Reporting to the Manager, Client Acceptance Team, this full-time and permanent position is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its’ growth. The position will be supporting the Client Acceptance team to conduct name screening and searches as well as background checks on our prospective and existing clients, investors and beneficiaries and their related parties as per our global and local KYC requirements. Key responsibilities:- Perform name screening and searches on prospective and existing clients, investors and beneficiaries and their related parties using the approved screening tool by the company
- Conduct due diligence and background checks on adverse findings via Google/Baidu searches.
- Liaise with relevant teams for additional information and escalate true hits to respective stakeholders
- Perform, review and clear transactional and name screening alerts
- Provide appropriate documentation for name screening alerts generated from ongoing monitoring
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks and project work as assigned
- Ensure adherence to standards and procedure
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent time management, good organisation skills and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excel under pressure to meet any tight deadlines
- Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese language skill is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Know Your Client (KYC), Customer Due Diligence or Name Screening experience in a financial institution or equivalent function is an added advantage
