Job Summary:

Bjak is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with extensive experience in full accounting functions to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience, strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems, and a hands-on approach to managing financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments
  • Prepare payments and ensure timely processing of financial transactions
  • Prepare journal vouchers and record them in the system accurately
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic planning and business performance improvement
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • ACCA and MIA membership is a plus
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Hands-on experience and a proactive approach to managing tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
