We are urgently seeking candidates for our client Oil and Gas - EPC/FPSO/Offshore Fixed Platform Maintenance Project in Malaysia.

Position: Project Manager

Type of role: Full Time Salaried Employee.

Position Level: Senior

Nationality: Preferably Chinese speaking Singaporean or Malaysian (Read, Write, Speak).

Required years of experience: 20 Years including 10 years similar offshore oil and gas projects experience

Job specialization: Oil and Gas - FPSO and Offshore Fixed Platform Maintenance including EPC.

Job Overview:

As a Project Manager within Oil & Gas EPC project team, this role will be at the forefront of project management, responsible for orchestrating the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects. The role encompasses strategic planning, risk management, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The leadership and experience will be pivotal in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential impacts on project outcomes. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables. Oversee the implementation of quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction. Review and manage project contracts, ensuring all parties fulfil their contractual obligations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency. Experienced across multiple project phases such as Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, installation, Commissioning, Star-Up and Warrantee. Proven experience in managing lump sum contract for Engineering projects for oil and gas industry Confidently deliver assigned scopes of work independently / remotely from management whilst leading others, with minimal guidance and direction Take ownership of scopes of work, coordinating the engineering disciplines and supporting functions to deliver successful outcomes Able to lead others in a challenging environment Able to make decisions and drive decision processes Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills Well-developed management and administrative skills Works within a team to establish direction, alignment and commitment Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful, mature, and flexible High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects Demonstrated servant leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills Highly experienced with risk and change management across the full project lifecycle, ideally having exposure to both design and site works. Highlights and quantifies change when it impacts the work Plan, direct, co-ordinate, and control the work Execute Projects in accordance with corporate practices and Project procedures Developing and implementing a project execution plan and project schedules that meets with Company and Contract requirements Provide leadership and commitment to the Project HSSE and Quality plan Act as focal point for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and installation deployed on the project Interface closely with client management representatives to ensure client interests are being accommodated Clearly define and communicate the project objectives and organization to the Project team to feedback to the Company data related to performance of work on a regular basis To document lessons learned and to review/implement lessons learned from other Projects To close out the project Report Writing

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP) may be preferred. At least 20 years of working experience, with 10 years similar offshore oil and gas projects experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget are preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Basic ability requirements: Proficiency in operating all kinds of conventional office software; good communication and negotiation skills and execution skills; hard work, teamwork spirit, can work overtime at any time, and obey Company's or Client's arrangements. Fluent in writing emails and oral communication in English; proficient in writing project-related documents and letters in English, proficiency in Chinese is preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems in a dynamic project environment. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards. Strong negotiation skills for effective contract management. Ability to foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Experience working on international projects or with diverse, multicultural teams.
