The Commercial Analyst supports the Commercial Management function team across the Company's 4PL scope of services (Device Strategy & Ranging, Strategic Sourcing, NPI, Operations & Supply Chain Planning, Device Life Cycle Management, Channel Management etc.) and Value Added Services (Device Protection, Handset Leasing, Buyback Trade In & Financial Services). The Commercial Management Team will be operating in an environment of substantial change, both between the Company and on the client side. This role analyses commercial & financial data from multiple 4PL work streams to track KPI, value & business effectiveness internally within the Company and with clients. Building business cases, liaising with the Finance function, and accurate presentation of this analysis to senior management, customers, or suppliers, is the core competency of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Understand key Commercial drivers & requirements of supply chain or related services.
- Assist to conduct market analysis of trends, competitive environments, and other factors.
- Assist to conduct contract governance that includes tracking of performance SLAs, financial metrics like value adds, gainshare, marketing fund, performance rewards, and channel credit line across all services.
- Assist to analyze, report, and communicate the performance of Swap services (all 4PL streams), to measure performance, productivity, and profitability while maintaining alignment of these streams to the needs of the business in a pragmatic and balanced manner.
- Be the key liaison between the finance teams in the Company and Customer to resolve any billing or finance-related issues.
- Assist the Head of department of Commercial in preparing:
- PowerPoint presentations and high-level documentation.
- Ad-hoc analysis and Governance reports to Customer.
- High-level briefs, business case etc.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-4 years in finance function, business analysis, or consulting roles.
- Proven experience handling data and interpreting complex trends.
- Experience in problem identification resolution and prevention with high attention to detail.
- Experience in Telco, and or supply chain and logistics organizations is an advantage.
- Excellent commercial & financial acumen.
- Highly analytical with the ability to convert data into business intelligence with sound understanding & techniques for data analysis / manipulation, while staying focused on the overall objective.
- Excellent quantitative/business modeling skills, plus knowledge of strategic analysis.
- Excellent skill sets in cross-functional communications (both verbal & written format), facilitation, and presentation.
- Confident, influential, and articulate, with a clear ability to learn quickly and deal with diverse and demanding internal & external stakeholders.
- Monitoring performance capability with a commitment to quality methodologies to sustain continuous improvement.
- A team player, enthusiastic, energetic, proactive, with a positive attitude.
- Deadline conscious, a strong sense of accountability, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure and capable of multi-tasking.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
