The operations on our outdoor material storage and covered processing facilities cover receiving and storage of incoming materials, inventory control, production through cutting, blending and baling into customized batches of high-quality stainless-steel scrap blends for loading into containers and shipped to smelters in Japan, Korea, China and India.

We invite you to join the start-up team for our 2nd factory in Asia in Johor, commencing operations in late 2024, as TEAM LEADER - OPERATIONS .

Reporting to the Production Manager, you are responsible for men and machines on the yard, all materials handling (we move many tonnes), production, loading and shipping of our bespoke stainless steel blends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, supervise and motivate the yard operations team
  • Instil high levels of discipline, teamwork and collaboration
  • Provide a safe work environment in compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Schedule, plan, monitor and record all materials in & out (import & export)
  • Plan production schedules, equipment utilization and on-time/on-spec deliveries
  • Continuous improvements of efficiency, resource utilization and throughput

Education & Experience:

  • Relevant higher education (ideally degree) in relation to (heavy duty) operations
  • 10 years leadership of outdoor production, engineering or yard operations (bulk)
  • Production planning around batch type processing of primary, ideally metal raw materials
  • Worked with heavy equipment (material movers, cranes, presses, cutters, welders)
  • Alert, passionate subscriber to the highest levels of safety and environmental standards
  • Hands-on, independent, self-driven, motivated, energetic, with your people, on the yard
  • Credible leader of a hard-working team with diverse background, qualifications and remits
  • Good English (intl. exposure), Bahasa and other languages of Malaysia and the region
