Hiring Bread Bakers

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread products, including but not limited to Danish, Baguettes, Sweet Bun, and Europe breads.
  • Follow established recipes and techniques to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Monitor proofing, shaping, and baking processes to achieve desired results.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery, including equipment and workstations.
  • Assist in the development of new bread recipes and products.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on baking equipment as needed.
  • Uphold our commitment to excellence in customer service by providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers when needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in processes and products.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bread Baker or similar role in a commercial bakery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of breadmaking techniques, including mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of flour and other ingredients.
  • Creativity and a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal culinary training or apprenticeship in baking.
  • Experience with sourdough and natural fermentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with organic and locallysourced ingredients.
  • Knowledge of allergen management and dietary restrictions.
  • Experience working in a scratch bakery environment.
