Job Duties:

Duties:
Involve in supervising daily production and responsible for the department operating process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involve in daily production and prepare a wide variety of pastry such as breads/cakes, cookies, pies, etc following recipes
  • Work closely together with commissioner and executive chef in developing new and exciting breads/desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
  • Lead the team in line with the direction and culture company is heading to.
  • Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients, ensure adequate use of raw material and ordering with relevant department.
  • Meeting with team members to discuss details and planning of custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings, corporate order and so on.
  • Supervise, coordinate and assist in the activities of the bakery staff engaged in proper cleaning, weighing, mixing, cutting, baking, cooking in the preparation of all food items; and supervises and coordinates the tray setup according to menus and specifications for bakery.
  • Ensure excellent quality throughout the pastry offerings.
  • Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
  • Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel.
  • Arrangement of staff duty roster / leave arrangement / OT arrangement.
  • Ensure that company rules and regulations are followed by proper counseling and disciplinary.
  • Supervisory responsibilities also include appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and solving problems.
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Establish positive company culture and deliver correct value within the companies.
  • Responsible for small item procurement (Packaging / Decoration / Ingredients) for department need.
  • Ensure all report/documentation well monitored, organized and submit on time.
  • Other ad-hoc relevant duties assigned by management.

Authority:

  • The right to suggest work improvement
  • The right to inspect the work of subordinates
  • The right to judge the disputes of subordinates in the work
  • The right to evaluate the management level, service level and performance of the subordinates
  • The right to develop the products and suggest idea
  • The right to purchase raw material / ingredients / packaging for the product
  • The right to arrange/allocate man power within department with BOD / Supervisor / HOD.

Qualification:

  • Good knowledge of different types of bread/pastry, dessert, cake decorating.
  • In-depth knowledge in various raw ingredients using in creating bread/pastry and flavours.
  • Posses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.
  • Positive attitude and Good communication skills.
6. 4 Years of experience in pastry cooking or Pastry Chef / Baker Chef Experience.
