Production Supervisor:

Objective

  • To ensure the production correlate the production plan

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Operation Manager in ensuring the manpower for production line meet the requirement of production plan to achieve the ultimate output.
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedure
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change'
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Resolve personnel problems by analysing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action to the Operation Manager and Personnel Department
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training as directed by the Company from time to time
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as Production Supervisor
  • Technical engineering diploma, certificates or equivalent qualification
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English
  • Good organizational skill and attention to details
  • Leadership skills to motivate staff and manage a team
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Effective decision making skills
  • The ability to write reports and compile accurate records
  • Good IT skills
  • A willingness to work flexibly
  • An awareness of health and safety issues
  • Ability to check for defects, identity and distinguish between colors
  • Experience in startup or pilot production environment
  • Capable of working independently to a production schedule
  • Experience in working glass optics and coating process will be a plus
