The Accounting manager plays an important role to lead any work related to Financial Accounting and Management Accounting to ensure financial reports are compliance with financial reporting standards, company policies and statutory laws and regulation.


ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities and people management responsibilities, which include planning and assigning tasks and team performance appraisal, coaching and development.
  • Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the proper financial management, control of the company's business and operating budget monitoring.
  • Lead and monitor timely closing of all accounts and review monthly/quarterly management account reports for submission to Joint Venture partners; ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
  • To review financial analysis of the accounts to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of the bookkeeping and reconciliations. Any discrepancies are identified with the corrective actions and communicate to respective colleagues.
  • Plays and active role to support daily operation (AP, AR & procurement) as when required.
  • Attending queries which involves in leasing, asset recognition, reconciliations, taxation, accounting system, monthly closing, etc.
  • Lead audit activities to ensure that all matters related to year end statutory audit (audit schedule, reconciliation, draft, etc. ) attended in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirement.
  • Fixed asset management. Responsible to determine the recognition, measurement, tagging and disposal of assets. Focal person for insurance matters including identification of insurance needs and, review existing coverage, renewal & subscription of policies.
  • Liased with Tax Consultant, Customs and IRB officer for all company's taxation matters ie tax filing, tax estimate and others.
  • Carry out adhoc assignments as delegated by superiors from time to time.
  • Follow all plant safety and environment regulations and requirements.
  • Participate in activities to continously improve quality performance.
  • Participate in department and site safety & environment initiatives.
  • To be aware and adhere site she & quality policy and procedure.
  • Work towards the overall objective of the company including report an incident to superior.

REQUIREMENT

  • Strong analytical, numeracy and problemsolving skills.
  • Good communication and written in English.
  • Knowledge in SAP and strong excel skills will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum experience of 8 years in Accounting
