Job Scope / Position Summary

The role will be responsible in handling and managing all aspects of Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Taxation and Capital Management matters. The candidate will oversee, handle & manage all reporting to Board, Shareholders & Management.

As a Vice President, the successful candidate will also be responsible on succession planning activities, which include training, motivating and developing own team.

Main Responsibility

1. Management Reporting

Ensure timely & accurate preparation and submission of all prescribed reporting. Regularly monitor compliance. Provide financial information (group reporting pack)

2. Systems, controls, procedures & processes

Regularly contribute in the development of internal systems, controls & procedures and to review work processes with an aim to improve efficiency.

3. Budget and Planning

Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the organisation.

4. Strategy

Assist the CEO in the formulation of strategy planning process. Provides support to monitor and tracks any deviation against plan, work with the Excom to ensure alignment with plans. He will also analyse long term market trends for the purpose of providing recommendations to the Excoms., if required.

5. Service standards

Ensure the department is functioning efficiently and meeting service standards at all times.

6. Succession Planning

Identify and groom talent to ensure succession planning of the team

To train, motivate and develop staff.

7. Taxation

Oversee the overall tax planning and tax compliance requirements which include but not lim-ited to the annual tax return, GST return, withholding tax, etc.

8. Capital Management

Monitoring of the Company's Capital Adequacy Ratio, stress tests and internal target capital level pursuant to the Risk-Based Capital framework.

Qualification and Experience Requirement


• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent


• Minimum 7-10 years experience in relevant and related job functions/roles


• Ability to adapt and learn fast, diligent, trustworthy and have strong initiative to learn


• Result oriented, committed, team player, positive working attitude, good communication and interpersonal skill


• Computer literate, especially in MS Office


• Strong communication skill


• Experience in reporting/accounting packages


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving


• Leadership and motivational skills
