As a subsidiary of Denmark based Scan-Group established in 1988, boasts a shipping and logistics legacy since 1969. Based in Chatham, New Jersey, it spans 30+ countries with 90+ offices globally. Offering Air Freight, LCL, and FCL Ocean Freight, it's a top NVOCC. It seeks an entrepreneurial individual for its Asia team in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
Position:
Business Development Manager - Port Klang
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Maintain a good level of sales activities in line with Management's policy.
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Plan approaches and pitches.
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Establish strong relationship with clients and prospects through regular sales visits;
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team
- Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light
Requirement:
- Diploma/ degree holder with 35 years of sales or marketing experience in Freight Forwarding or NVOCC Industry.
- Computer Literate, Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to start work with short notice
- Networking, Aggressive, Persuasion, Prospecting, Public Speaking, Research, Writing, Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Identification of Customer Needs and Challenges.
- Good command in English is a must. Well read and speak in Mandarin
