The Project Planner - Construction will play a pivotal role in planning, scheduling, and overseeing various construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

This role requires a highly organized individual with experience in construction project planning, coordination of resources, and effective communication with all stakeholders.

The Project Planner will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and clients to develop detailed project plans and schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve project goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop detailed construction project plans and schedules using industrystandard project management software.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Identify and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.

Monitoring and Control:

  • Track project progress against the plan, identifying any deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Update project schedules regularly to reflect changes in scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, including status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans, to stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop risk management plans.
  • Monitor and address risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize impact on project delivery.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Coordinate meetings, including project kickoffs, progress reviews, and postproject evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure project success.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation, including schedules, resource allocation, and status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards related to construction project management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
  • Proven experience with construction project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
