RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.

Food Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty section, focusing on steak and related items.
  • Master various cooking techniques for different cuts of steak, including grilling and searing.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
2.

Kitchen Management:

  • Ensure kitchen crew follow company rules and SOPs.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is completed to a high standard and is ready for each section.
  • Arrange teamwork schedule and report to HOD weekly.
3.

Quality Control:

  • Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant's standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's recipes and specifications.
4.

Health and Safety / Cleanliness:

  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.
5.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new menu items.
  • Assist in training junior staff and apprentices.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and service.

6.

Inventory and Ordering:

  • Complete required checklists (monthend stock count, steak chill list, staff meal, stock transfer list).
  • Assist in the ordering and storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay:
From RM2,800.00 per month
