About the Role


Responsible to perform re-pricing for existing clients, product benefit redesigning and in-depth analysis for both Conventional Group Insurance and Takaful.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform renewal pricing for existing client that includes product and feature design
  • Ensure the automated pricing model is accurate, uptodate and aligns with the agreed rules, policies, guidelines and within service level agreement
  • Provide indepth trend analysis, benchmark and insight to clients, through cost and utilization report, and subsequently make relevant recommendation
  • Ensure profitable growth through proactive renewal pricing
  • Assist in managing resources to achieve optimum level of customer service through efficient team management by ensuring the team is meeting proposal underwriting TAT and accuracy targets
  • Provide guidance to junior team members in enhancing their technical knowledge and skills, which vary from system knowledge, pricing skill, analysis skill, way to handle complicated cases, etc.
  • Assist in delivering product training for business expansion
  • Constantly look out for opportunities to improve pricing capability and SOP, i.e. pricing methodology review, pricing and underwriting skill, computing skill, eye for business, data analysis, system knowledge, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience in actuarial and group business underwriting are preferred
  • Proficiency in statistics, computing and analytical methodology, e.g. Access, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous with detail, strong analytical qualities and very methodical in solving problems able to translate insight into decision
  • Strong eye for business and commercial awareness able to see things from customer's perspective
  • Constantly strive to improve and strengthen existing way of working for higher efficiency
  • Able to work independently in a fastpaced environment
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and meet performance goals
