We are looking to recruit a highly organised and motivated Global Mobility Coordinator to join us

POSITION OVERVIEW:


Provide support services to expat employees in the Group with regard to their personal taxation, immigration processes and be a general counsellor covering MENA, Southeast Asia and Far East countries including but not limited to Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.


COMPETENCIES:

Highly Organised

  • Whether managing a handful of employees between two locations, or hundreds across several territories, being able to organise and compartmentalise is an essential trait. Developing a working global solution will mean juggling numerous legislative and procedural issues at any given time.

Attention to Detail

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation is a critical element of this role so attention to details is essential especially when dealing with tax and salaries. On an international scale the business stakes are high, and errors can result in costly penalties for the Group and worse, unhappy employees.

Responsibility

  • The emphasis on regulatory compliance makes responsibility and integrity essential for this role. You will be required to observe and work to high legal standards, and you will be trusted with both our business assets and our employees' interests.

Problem Solving

  • This role has a huge administrative scope meaning that problems and challenges are an inevitable part of the job. You mut be prepared for these eventualities and be able to think creatively to resolve them.

Customer Service

  • From advising on immigration matters to calculating tax returns you will be required to address a range of issues on behalf of our employees (your clients) meaning that customer service skills are a critical part of the job. You must be able to react to employee questions with patience, discretion and understanding.

Flexibility

  • The international business landscape is in constant flux. Since compliance requirements, business needs and a range of peripheral political factors can change overnight maintaining professional flexibility is the only way to handle the unique demands of this role and working across multiple countries and time zones.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Tax:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of expatriate taxation policy.
  • Periodically review employee and salary information to ensure taxes withheld are accurate, complete and conform to government fiscal directives.
  • Liaise with Operational Project Teams globally to review, participate and advise on employee tax policies, processes and issues as related to the Expatriate population.
  • Provide timely information to employees on tax calculations and ensure timely recovery from the employees.
  • Manage operational employee tax policy questions and queries on a casebycase basis.
  • Make recommendations about changes to policies to ensure the organisations tax policies as applied in the different countries are in alignment with the global strategy.
  • Monitor, manage and reconcile payroll taxes in alignment with statutory responsibilities and company commitments with employees.
  • Coordinate with external agencies in the computation of tax liability and compliance.

Immigration:

  • Coordinate with the Administration team and external agencies in the arrangement of work permits in different countries in MEENA, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Far East Regions.
  • Proactively monitor changes in immigration regulations and legislation.
  • Advise management on the changes in the immigration regulations and / or legislation and initiate necessary compliance processes.
  • Take responsibility for propagating immigration related news through internal circulars and the company intranet.
  • Guide employees in relation to their status and the compliance requirements.
