Manage current procurement team to provide proper guidance and ensure adherence of procurement processes

  • Develop solutions to resolve new and ongoing issues and troubleshoot when required
  • Strategize, monitoring and managing the procurement plan from sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, delivery, tracking until receiving of the products, to optimize the quality, cost, and timely delivery criteria.
  • To oversee overall Purchasing Department, control purchasing budget & in charge of contract terms negotiation.
  • Develop strategic stocks management for business continuity plan, rationalise inventory stock holding & ensure long term cost optimization.
  • Expand and maintain adequate vendor base through active scouting and negotiation cycle.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • In charge of product mix planning, merchandise selection, pricing, buying plan and assortment plan.
  • Support the retail team in planning on regular and ad hoc promotional activities, merchandising and product needs such as but not limited to promotion/bargain event, product enquiry and quality issue etc. to increase sales growth.
  • Able to keep up with market trends and feedback on market preferences to generate idea on new products suitable for our industry, identify market opportunities, benchmark against competitors.
  • Develop talent within the department by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets and take leadership positions.
  • Enhance team productivity through skills development through coaching and training.
  • Ensure objective periodic administration of the performance appraisal process followed by monitoring of feedback implementation for the team.
  • Perform, supervise and evaluate all purchasing activities to ensure no disruption of supply to production plan and loading.
  • Assist management in strategic expansion planning and timely execution of project according to agreed timeline.
  • Support other ad hoc project as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience (preferably from Healthcare Industry) with 2 years in management level.
  • Strong people and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge in both Procurement & Purchasing processes.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Able to build and maintain broad network of suppliers.
  • Detailoriented with good analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge in Bahasa Cina is a MUST to serve both local and overseas vendor and clients.
  • Well versed in trading terms & supplier rebate.
