RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in planning and carrying out infection control programs pertaining to infection control precautions, surveillance, reporting, and investigations.
  • Assist in planning and carrying out infection control audits hospitalwide to improve infection control processes in the hospital.
  • Assist in planning and carrying out orientation and inservice programs to all relevant staff pertaining to infection control issues.
  • Performs daily surveillance of all clinical areas to identify cases for infection control and check on practices of infection control.
  • Initiate protocols and relevant actions so as to improve infection control within the hospital.
  • Advise and propose necessary actions/staff health programs pertaining to infection control to relevant personnel internally or externally.
  • Followup on issues of infection control so as to completely solve problems.
  • Assist the head of the department in infection control issues when needed.
  • Member of the infection control nursing committee and participates actively in the infection control subcommittee.
  • Acts as a resource person pertaining to infection control issues.
  • Liaise closely with Infection Control Senior Manager and Subcommittee Chairperson.
  • Actively participates in departments and hospitals' goals and objectives.
  • Maintain all relevant records orderly for easy referencing.
  • Updates all records and maintains confidentiality where appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least a Diploma in Nursing.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (LJM & APC).
  • Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Infection Control.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
  • Able to work independently and as a team with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to promote the philosophy of continuous quality improvement.

RM4, RM6,000.00 per month
