Summary:


We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory & financial reporting, budget & forecasts preparation, financial risk management, development of internal control policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Familiar with Bursa Listing Requirements and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards are an added advantage
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support monthend and yearend close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally including the
  • Comptroller and Auditor General, the external and internal auditors
  • Ensuring financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied within the subsidiary companies group
  • Responsibility for group taxation affairs and liaising closely with the corporate tax advisers
  • Oversee the annual audit engagement with the statutory auditor and external auditor, ensuring audit requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other professionals to ensure compliance on all matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirement.
  • Manages internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), verifying that Company policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Job Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or qualified Accountant
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with proven achievement as Financial Controller
  • Previous accounting experience gained within property development, ticketing operational industry or hospitality industry is essential;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask, resourceful, proactive, highly motivated and own initiative.
  • Excellent analytical, report writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Good problem solving skills, ability to identify issue, access risks and offer solution options.
  • Financial accounting and controls in a multisite / group environment, including managing intercompany transactions.
  • Ensuring that an organisation meets the necessary tax, permit and licencing requirements
  • Collaborating with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company's ledger
  • Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
  • Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategising
  • Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives
  • Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
  • Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation

Salary:
RM17, RM19,000.00 per month
