Job Description (JD)

Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable)

Application Services

  • To perform L1/L2 problem investigation problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, SIT/UAT and implementation.
  • To thoroughly understand the system design, user requirement and provide impact analysis feedback for any potential system change including design of Endofday process.
  • Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems
  • To proactively manage system risks by defining improvements or mitigations
  • Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators, particularly in terms of indepth trend analysis
  • Provide input to the implementation, backup and rollback plans
  • Act as a
    technical resource for internal and external projects
  • Follow appropriate departmental and bank procedures and policies (i.e. change control, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem and incident management).
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors and hosting providers

Documentation

  • Ensure incidents and problems are uptodate
  • Ensure all technical and nontechnical documentation is uptodate
  • Contribute to management reports

Team Development

  • Share / spread knowledge with team members as well as internal teams
  • Proactive in maintaining and increasing the teams technical knowledge
  • Coach and develop team members

Functional Skills & Experiences

  • Knowledge and experience in Trade Finance system with good business functional experience would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX messages format will be added advantage
  • Extensive problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience in providing services to agreed SLA's and OLA's
  • Experienced in Problem and Incident Management
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Technical Skills & Experiences

  • Experience with supporting multitier infrastructures
  • Manage technical team and architect custom solutions
  • Possess strong technical knowledge in
  • Familiar with Sun Solaris Unix platform will be added advantage
  • Familiar with Oracle WebLogic
  • Familiar with RedHat ActiveMQ and Apache ActiveMQ
  • Familiar with UNIX/Linux shell scripting (BASH)
  • Familiar with Oracle DB (SQL & FTI/FCC data dictionary)
  • Familiar with HTML and XML will be added advantage
  • Familiar with Java, Eclipse IDE and VisualSVN will be added advantage

FTI & FCC Technical Knowledge

  • 57 years of experience in expertise handling FTI & FCC Technical Production Support
  • Finastra Certified Technical Associate (FTI, FCC) will be added advantage
  • Localization & Customizations using SDK and nonSDK
  • Functional overview and workflow understanding
  • Web service development
  • Experience in Integration development & interfaces for core banking, limits, treasury, AML/watchlist, H2H etc will be added advantage
  • Experience in Branding & Advice template modification will be added advantage
  • Experience in Building custom reports with FTI SDK will be added advantage
