Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations, provide shipment status updates, and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.


Cost Management:

Evaluate transportation costs, negotiate contracts with carriers or freight forwarders, and seek cost-effective shipping solutions while maintaining service quality standards.


Tracking and Monitoring:
Monitor shipment progress, track cargo movements, and ensure timely deliveries. Address any delays or disruptions in the transportation process and take corrective actions as necessary.

Compliance:

Stay updated on transportation regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance laws to ensure adherence and avoid any legal issues.


Problem Resolution:

Handle and resolve any issues related to shipment discrepancies, damages, or losses, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to find effective solutions.


Inventory Management:

Coordinate with warehouse or inventory teams to ensure proper inventory levels, manage stock movements, and optimize storage and distribution processes.


Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, providing shipment updates, and offering solutions to meet customers' specific shipping requirements.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (though not always mandatory; relevant experience can be sufficient).
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or a similar role within the transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities, particularly in resolving logístical issues.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
