This role entails independently overseeing a portfolio of audits, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring seamless statutory audit execution.

Description

  • Prepare complex corporate tax computations and tax returns efficiently.
  • Ensure timely submission of income tax forms and other relevant documents to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address ad hoc information requests and conduct thorough research on various tax matters.
  • Uphold the company's values, competencies, internal controls, and Tax Operating Model (TOM).
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, tax procedures, global and regional business requirements, and statutory governmental regulations to minimise liability and risk.
  • Continuously self-check tax computations, identify tax-saving opportunities, stay updated on tax law changes, and ensure adherence to internal audit controls and processes
  • Submit tax computations to Opco for review and act as an escalation point of contact when necessary.
  • Advise stakeholders on monitoring transactions for tax planning opportunities and build relationships with Opco and external advisors to provide solutions for tax implications of transactions.

Profile

  • Degree in Finance & Accounting or related field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience within tax field.
  • CTA qualified or substantial relevant work experience gained within tax field
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Practical knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore tax compliance.
  • Strong usage of Microsoft Excel (Vlook UP, XlookUP etc)
