Business Development Manager (Head) The role of Business Development Manager in KARA Holdings Sdn Bhd is to expand the company business prospects and improve an organization overall performance, capabilities and reach.

He must have an entrepreneurship mindset, analytical, capability of developing business strategies, framework, undertaking business/financial research and report preparation, identify the market opportunities, develop relationship/networking with external and internal parties with primary goal to increase the company financial and business performance.


Job Responsibilities:

1.Preparation of Strategic Planning Report The company is required by JCorp/Kulim to prepare 5 years Strategic Planning on a yearly basis.

This will include overall business update and outlook, 5 years financial forecast, strategy framework to achieve the targeted objectives, peers benchmark, Balance Score Card and Risk Assessment report.

The Strategic Planning must be tabled to the BOD for approval and present to JCorp/Kulim for consolidation purposes.

2.Preparation of Board of Director Paper/Slide for BOD Meeting The company normally hold quarterly BOD meeting upon notice issue by the company secretary.

BOD deck is prepared accordingly with updates on the financial performance, operational activities and any proposal for BOD approval.

The BD team member will assist to compile the required information to complete the BOD deck for reviewed and discussed with the ED.

Matters for BOD approval will also be tabled upon discussion and approval by the ED. 3. Identifies and develops new business opportunities.

The BD department will requested to identifies any new business opportunities for the company via market study/networking by providing a detail report covering all aspects of the proposal for project team/ED review for BOD presentation and approval.

  • Builds relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors.
  • Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones.
  • Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands.
  • Leads sales, marketing, customer-service, and client relationship management teams.
  • Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.
  • Builds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Tracks emerging markets and trends.
  • Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.
  • Identifies and recommends new services.
  • Proposes and develops strategic partnerships.
  • Helps to shape the company's long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
  • Researches and identifies new markets.
  • Provides advice on product development and distribution and promotion strategies.
  • Identifies sponsorship opportunities, including nonprofit engagement.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.
  • Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
  • Fulfills requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.
  • Helps direct development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experience
