Join our dynamic team at ELS Language Centres, Malaysia, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing all operations concerning the academic programme in compliance with established policies and procedures. This includes the implementation and development of the curriculum, student testing and evaluation, class scheduling, and the management of instructional staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and conduct the academic program to meet ELS Language Centres standards.
  2. Hire, train, and supervise instructional staff.
  3. Provide substitute and/or regular classroom instruction as needed.
  4. Maintain the instructional budget and manage instructional materials.
  5. Oversee student placement, testing, and evaluation processes.
  6. Schedule classes, teachers, and students effectively.
  7. Orient new students to the academic programme.
  8. Submit required academic reports to universities and sponsors on schedule.
  9. Support retention strategies to meet agreed-upon retention percentages.
  10. Assist in managing special programmes as assigned.
  11. Maintain Centre operations in the absence of the Centre Director.
  12. Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

  1. Education: MA in ESL/TESOL/TEFL, Applied Linguistics, or related field preferred. BA/BS with equivalent experience required.
  2. Experience: Minimum of four years teaching experience in ESL/EFL and at least two years in an administrative role overseeing teachers and teaching-related responsibilities.
  3. Personal Characteristics: Service-oriented with flexibility and creativity in problem-solving. Committed to high-quality academic programmes within budgetary guidelines.
  4. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle diverse job duties.
  5. Driven, creative, and exhibits strong leadership capabilities while excelling in collaborative efforts.
