Job Summary

As a Business Unit Coordinator, you will assist in developing and implementing business strategies, provide guidance to lower-level positions, and work independently on complex assignments. You will be responsible for managing a piece of the customer relationship, preparing materials for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and contributing to the forecast and variance process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train and gather knowledge and experience to qualify for future Business Unit Manager opportunities within 2-3 years.
  • Manage a piece of the customer relationship through direct interaction with customers.
  • Prepare materials for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
  • Prepare commercial claims (e.g. excess and obsolete materials).
  • Contribute to the forecast and variance process in the company's financial system.
  • Assist Business Unit Managers in day-to-day business needs and workcell management.
  • Support Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide indirect leadership to more junior positions on the team.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements

  • Displays potential for developing leadership skills with ability to move into a higher level role.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company's business goals and objectives.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years work-related experience required, preferably in Financial or Manufacturing Operations fields.
  • Willingness to begin study in an MBA or equivalent degree program within two (2) to three (3) years preferred.
