Job Scope:

Uses a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts along with reconciling account balances and bank statements, revenue recognition, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The Senior Accountant ensures accuracy and effectiveness in all Accounting tasks. Acting as a cross-functional business partner to the Controllers implements automation and creates process improvements to optimize the month-end close.

Essential Functions

  1. Under limited supervision handles hands-on operational and technical accounting for the consolidations and month-end closing process by working with local accountants of international entities.
  2. Manage the statutory reporting process of international entities by working closely with appointed auditors and company secretaries.
  3. Calculates and records various allocations.
  4. Participate in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  5. Takes on a leadership role for the month-end and year-end close process, including ensuring accounting periods are closed and for statutory audits and tax returns to ensure compliance.
  6. Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  7. Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  8. Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  9. Spots errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Participates in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  11. Other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  2. Experience : 8+ years related work experience.
  3. Qualification : Professionally qualified (MIA, MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA).
