The Value Channel Inside Presales Technical Consultants, also known as TCs, serve as trusted advisors to customers and business partners, offering technical insights, recommendations, consultancy, and advice.
The Value Channel Inside Presales Technical Consultant holds a Specialist level role in the commercial channel organization. This position involves providing technical presales support for HP's value portfolio of Personal Systems products and software solutions, including Workstations, Mobile Workstations, Thin Clients, and Retail Points of Sale.
The ideal candidate should have a true passion for technology and a deep understanding of its functionality. Proficiency in English at a native or near-native level is required.
What a Presales Technical Consultant does at HP:
- Provide technical recommendations, direction, and guidance on HP value products, software solutions, and services, including various hardware and software offerings.
- Respond to and track technical inquiries from partners.
- Promote the advantages of HP's PPS products and solutions.
- Support sales representatives in addressing customer requests and proposals.
- Assist partners in developing competitive configurations and solutions.
- Offer trainings on PPS value products and solutions to internal departments.
- Handle technical escalations and provide proactive updates to the sales community.
- Maintain a high level of service quality and total customer experience.
- Stay up-to-date with technical competencies and advancements.
Skills that are successful in this role at HP typically include:
- Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in other APJ languages such as Mandarin being advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical/engineering field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of computer technologies, software, hardware, and networking.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and team skills.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain focus on goals and objectives.
- Self-motivated and operates effectively with minimal direction.
- Motivated to continuously seek knowledge and learn.
