Responsibilities include evaluating vendor quotations, managing daily operational purchasing needs, preparing monthly purchasing reports, and handling claims with suppliers. Key tasks also involve resolving supply, quality, and service issues, evaluating supplier performance, and undertaking ad-hoc duties as assigned.
• Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure alignment with product technical and specifications requirements. • Manage daily operational purchasing needs, including planning, stock monitoring, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and maintaining records of goods ordered and received. • Prepare monthly purchasing reports and handle claims with suppliers for defectives, shortage, and missing parts. • Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors. • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time, best prices, payment terms, and ensure all criteria are met according to organizational requirements and expectations. • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as per assigned.Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a professional certificate, diploma, or bachelor's degree in business studies, administration, or management, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and good command in Mandarin is a must as this position requires communication with overseas suppliers.
• Computer literacy essential with knowledge of Microsoft application.
• Team player with good planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, independent, positive attitude, and able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
