Senior Manager, Remedial & Recovery

Job Purpose

As a Senior Manager, Remedial & Recovery, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of impaired and written-off accounts, formulating strategies for recovery and rehabilitation, and optimizing recoveries while minimizing impairment losses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to maximize recovery on impaired and written-off accounts.
  • Prepare settlement and repayment proposals for management approval.
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely settlement of accounts, including legal proceedings and risk grading reviews.
  • Collaborate with recovery partners, such as solicitors, receivers, and auctioneers, to expedite recoveries.
  • Recommend writing-off accounts where recovery actions have been exhausted.
  • Ensure accurate data maintenance and timely submission of claims.
  • Conduct fieldwork and attend court/land office proceedings as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head Unit or Head of Department.

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in a related field, with Accounting and/or Law being advantageous.
  • At least five years of experience in credit management or a related function in a financial institution.
  • Strong negotiation skills and passion for recovery functions.
  • Excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
