Main Responsibilities Of The Language Specialist (Mandarin Speaking) Role
  1. Utilizing diverse technologies (tools, MT engines, AI) to achieve high-quality, scalable output.
  2. Assessing content provided by external vendors.
  3. Performing translation and transcreation tasks.
  4. Serving as the primary contact for all stakeholders regarding linguistic issues.
  5. Translation Aid technology enablement: evaluate, maintain, and debug machine translation and AI-generated tools and content.
  6. Vendor enablement: assess content from suppliers; provide feedback for continuous improvement and risk mitigation; support during RFPs and onboarding of new suppliers.
  7. Create and maintain linguistic assets: terminology databases, translation memories, and style guides.
  8. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for your language and regional culture.
  9. Perform translation and transcreation tasks.
Key Requirements
  1. BA in translation, localization, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Native-level fluency in Simplified Chinese and excellent English communication skills.
  3. Proficient understanding of localization technologies (CAT tools, machine translation, evaluation tools, etc.) and a willingness to adopt new technologies and processes.
  4. Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment and with cross-departmental teams.
  5. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  6. Capable of working independently and performing daily tasks with minimal supervision.
