Responsibilities
  1. Conduct approval and routine supplier audit to ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, work closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, including any defects or inconsistencies.
  3. Establish and maintain positive and strong relationships with suppliers, fostering continuous improvement in product quality.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
  1. Conduct Product Safety Review on supplier FSQ documentation, such as QAP, product specification, and others (i.e. certificate of analysis, testing reports, quality control protocols) that require approval, ensuring the validity of the FSQ documentation.
  2. Address FSQ related concerns to suppliers to safeguard compliance.
  3. Monitor compliance with food safety standards, including FSSC22000, HACCP, FDA/EU FC Compliances and other relevant regulations.
Product Innovation and Development Support
  1. Collaborate with Product Innovation and Retail Operations team to conduct product evaluation, safeguard product compliance and feasibility in accordance with retail operations flow.
  2. Ensure and conduct testing for drink ingredients, food, packaging, etc. to ensure safety, quality, and consistency.
Supplier Performance Scoreboard
  1. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on supplier performance, including non-conformance reports, incident tracking, and corrective action plans.
  2. Identify trends in product quality, complaints, or incidents, and work with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  3. Upkeep Supplier Performance Scoreboard.
  4. Manage and attend product incidents, feedback, and recalls received internally and externally in coordination with the products used and sold in retail outlets.
  5. Escalate product incidents with the involved suppliers in a timely manner, request and review corrective action reports, and document product incidents accordingly.
Packaging (Cups & Lids) – if relevant
  1. Develop and implement quality control measures and testing protocols for packaging materials, focusing on cups, lids, and other related items.
  2. Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new packaging materials and improve existing packaging solutions.
  3. Ensure proper traceability of packaging materials to support safety and compliance requirements.
  4. Work with procurement, production, and marketing teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand image and product requirements.
  5. Provide technical support to teams on packaging-related issues and concerns.
  6. Monitor product quality from suppliers and track performance metrics (e.g., defect rates, delivery accuracy).
Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

  1. At least Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  2. Formal background or training in technical areas relevant to product safety standards (HACCP / GFSI).
  3. At least 1 year experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Food Safety in the food and beverage industry, preferably within Quick Restaurant Services line.
  4. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  5. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia in both oral & written; any additional language is a bonus.
  6. Strong knowledge of supplier management and auditing processes, food safety standards, quality assurance terminology, implementations, methods, and tools.
  7. Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in handling certification audits such as GFSI is preferred.
