The Finance Executive - Record to Report (RTR) will assist Finance Managers to deliver accurate and timely monthly financial close. This includes all Record-to-Report (RTR) accounting and reporting activities such as preparation/review of journals postings, reports, and other month-end processing.

Our mission is to strengthen and elevate the Record-To-Report (RTR) Team's foundational skills, laying the foundation for the transition from a transactional centre to knowledge-based, data-analytic-enabled operations. We aim to simplify, standardize, and scale all RTR processes to enhance productivity and scalability, i.e., do better and smarter by leveraging simplified business process excellence and automation technologies.

Make an Impact by:

  • Working with Business Users and the Finance community to deliver accurate and timely monthly financial close, including preparing accounting journals on a timely basis and ensuring that the accounting entries are correct before posting into the ERP system.
  • Preparing reporting packages for submission to Group Finance for selected legal entities.
  • Being responsible for balance sheet reconciliations (including Bank Reconciliations) and proactively following up on aged open items in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and updating standard process documents and operational procedures regularly to ensure relevance.
  • Assisting with interim and year-end audits, including preparation of year-end audit schedules, liaising with external auditors to furnish information, and following up on audit queries.
  • Participating and supporting project testing and enhancements.
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of processes and workflows through automation and the adoption of new tools and software.
  • Undertaking any other duties as assigned.

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a business/commercial discipline; or a professional accounting qualification.
  • A strong technical accounting background with at least 1-5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a large corporate organization.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across business groups and functions, with experience in driving system improvements.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking with the ability to conceptualize and create alternatives.
  • Strong Excel skills are required for this role.
  • Any of the below experiences or knowledge will be a plus:

    • Experience working in an SAP environment or equivalent.

    • Hands-on experience with Blackline and RPA for financial close and reconciliation processes.
