Job description
An Accounts Payable is responsible for managing a company's outflow of cash by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payments to vendors and suppliers. This role ensures that all transactions are accurate, authorized, and completed in a timely manner, contributing to efficient cash flow management and supporting overall financial integrity.
Qualifications:
- Diploma, LCCI or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. (Mandarin speaker needed to communicate with China Market)
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing:
Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and expense reports. Ensure that invoices are coded correctly against purchase orders, contracts, or receipts. - Payment Processing:
Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other forms of payment. Schedule payments to maximize cash flow while adhering to vendor terms. - Vendor Management:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor records in the accounting system. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices by communicating with vendors. - Reconciliation & Reporting:
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger with vendor statements. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all invoices are processed and recorded. Generate reports for management detailing outstanding liabilities and cash flow projections. - Compliance & Audit Support:
Ensure that all payment transactions comply with company policies and regulatory standards. Prepare documentation and support audit processes as required.
