About the job Finance Assistant Manager (Costing)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance/Professional Qualification in Accounting (CIMA/ACCA/CPA)
  • Minimum 2-3 years related experience. Exposure to Cost Accounting and MNC manufacturing environment.
  • Have a strong Cost systems background in job costing or process costing and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experienced in Oracle is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills and excel skills, meticulous, organized and attention to detail.
  • A team player, self-starter with good communication skills and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. In view of business needs, those who have proficiency in Mandarin will have an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the Costing team on all daily, monthly and quarterly activities related to Global team and IPH plant.
  • Act as the main person in charge to train and monitor the daily, monthly and quarterly closing activities within the costing team.
  • Review all the journal prepared by the costing team members to ensure the requirements are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Managing and coordinating with respective departments e.g. Production, IE, planning, etc. to complete forecasting process and project activities.
  • Provide expertise and advice to managers/planners/engineers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
  • Perform product costing (cost model), standard cost review, labor & overhead, and product variances analysis.
  • Tracking budget and all financial reporting and analysis related to costing module for IPH plant.
  • Review and provide financial highlights to the monthly management reports.
  • Ensure consistency of group accounting policies for IPH Plant.
  • Initiate, assist, and participate in business process improvement projects.
  • Perform accounting and finance related duties or tasks as assigned from time to time.

  • Working days/hours: Monday – Friday / 8.00am – 5.15pm
