  • You will be responsible for implementation, coordination or support of packaging strategy, projects and tasks within the framework of the Sustainable Packaging 5-year Program.
  • There are two main types of projects in which you will engage:

1. Sourcing projects set up under the leadership of global sourcing

2. Projects under other functions' leadership in which sourcing related tasks need to be completed

  • You will implement strategies and actions to ensure high standards of sourcing excellence and sustainable nature of packaging, across all packaging components for both in-house and outsource products.
  • You will focus on standardization and business continuity for long-term sustainability by working closely with the Manufacturing and Finished Goods Outsourcing teams, Global Engineering, Packaging, QARA, and Marketing teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage industrial sustainable packaging sourcing; ensuring quality, on-time delivery, service level, and the right environmental specifications balance with competitive pricing.
  • Work closely with plants' procurement and quality, finished goods outsource teams, and the entire Sustainable Packaging Program team and Project teams to:
    • Understand suppliers' capabilities, including certifications, access to responsible and recycled content, sustainable packaging materials, LCA.
    • Facilitate collaboration on alternative materials and new components ensuring alignment to company's Sourcing Strategy.
    • Support plants with RFQs and identifying opportunities for consolidated supply (& RFQ).
    • Maintain total picture for better best practice exchange and benchmark among plants.
    • Help shape and intermediate with GS Management.
    • With QA and project leads oversee the gradual implementation of packaging material specifications expanded by environmental attributes (recyclability, responsibility).
    • Ensure alignment across plants and different components as well as to sourcing SOPs and standard requirements.
    • Help establish any relevant SOPs and tools related to above ensuring alignment with overall GS SOPs and strategy.
    • Guide and support project teams and plants for supplier and material choices.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for new material sourcing, sampling, testing, and trials.
    • Validate material specifications.
    • Potential new supplier assessment, qualification, and registration.
    • Consecutively support the Sourcing Manager in contractual conditions negotiations.
    • Act as project team member in projects that are managed by other functional leaders under the Sustainable Packaging 5-year Program and take on the sourcing related tasks.
  • Support the Sourcing Manager to manage the suppliers to ensure that they meet the company's expectations, regulatory and risk management program, and supply KPI requirements.
  • Support the effort of the Sourcing Manager for appropriate systems, processes, and key performance indicators (via supplier scorecard) to be in place.
  • Be responsible for adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities are done in accordance with Ansell's CSR and Sustainability agenda.

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, etc.

Job Experience

  • Preferably minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, engineering, and manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge, experience, and skills in cross-cultural negotiation and business environment.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials including local and global sourcing (preferred).
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Engineering background would be an added advantage.
  • Experience within packaging sourcing in the following countries is an advantage: Malaysia, Lanka, Thailand, or China.
