Vice President of Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and accomplished Vice President of Engineering to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for our dynamic technology team. As the VP of Engineering, you will drive innovation, foster collaboration, and guide the development of cutting-edge solutions that propel our company's growth. You will be a key member of the leadership team, shaping the technology vision and executing on a roadmap that aligns with our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define and execute the overall technology strategy, aligning it with business goals and market trends.
  2. Provide visionary leadership that inspires innovation and promotes a culture of technical excellence.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to transform business goals into actionable technical initiatives.
  4. Oversee the development of scalable, robust, and high-quality software products and solutions.
  5. Lead and manage a high-performing engineering organization, nurturing talent, and fostering professional growth.
  6. Cultivate an environment that encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and a commitment to quality.
  7. Drive the exploration and integration of emerging technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of industry trends.
  8. Encourage experimentation and the adoption of best practices to drive innovation.
  9. Efficiently manage engineering resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  10. Establish processes and methodologies that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. MS/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
  2. 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience. Strong plus if also knows C++ and backend well.
  3. 3+ years of professional engineering management experience.
  4. Programming experience and understanding of modern technology including: (ReactJS/React Native, NodeJS, Kubernetes, GCP, MongoDB, Docker).
  5. Experience managing cloud operations for reliability, scalability, and security in GCP/AWS.
  6. Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion.
