Ichiplas is a thriving, mid-sized plastic injection molding factory with a strong reputation for precision, quality, and innovation. For 30 years, we've delivered custom solutions to clients in the consumer goods, medical, and defense industries, combining strong engineering with a family-like team culture.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and drive the growth of our plastic injection molding business. The ideal candidate will have a strong network in the manufacturing industry, particularly in industries requiring overmolding and insert molding. This role will be responsible for growing a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing long-term relationships with clients, with:

  • Base salary of RM 8,000 – RM 12,000 per month (depending on experience and track record)
  • Above-market pay with bonus commission for every deal

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Business Development:
    • Identify and close new business opportunities in target industries.
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
    • Represent our company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events in Malaysia and other countries.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, and in existing customer accounts.
    • Conduct regular customer visits and act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure all customer projects execute to contract, hitting key KPIs.
  3. Sales Strategy:
    • Revise and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
    • Collaborate with the production team to ensure client requirements are met.
    • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients. In charge of closing all commercial negotiations and client pricing changes.
  4. Reporting:
    • Provide regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, forecasts, and market insights.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the plastic injection molding or related manufacturing industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing a sales pipeline.
    • Established network of contacts in industries requiring plastic components.
  2. Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes.
    • Familiarity with plastic injection machines and their applications.
  3. Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and/or Mandarin highly advantageous.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
