As a Supply Chain and Logistics Supervisor at Essentra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam, Selangor. This role will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics from/to the 3PL warehouse operations in Singapore. The role focuses on ensuring stock availability, optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high service levels for customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Maintain at least 98% stock availability for the standard offer products serving Singapore/Malaysia markets and strike rate over 85%.
  • Ensure accurate stock levels by setting and reviewing minimum balance requirements and replenishing fast-moving items regularly.
  • Manage relationships with third-party warehouse & logistics providers.
  • Monitor inventory performance and take proactive steps to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Determining optimal reorder points, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies.

Logistics & Operations Management:

  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Ensure 95% On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance for finished goods and samples coming out of 3PL warehouse to customers.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, couriers, and warehouse teams to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Identify service failures and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency.
  • Support global forwarding team to establish company plan and strategy.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the 3PL provider in Singapore, ensuring service levels are met.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with logistics providers, seeking cost-saving opportunities and process improvement.
  • Review freight and warehousing costs periodically and make sure the set targets are achieved annually.
  • Explore alternative transportation modes to enhance cost-efficiency and reliability.

Cost Optimization & Reporting:

  • Understand and maintain standardized KPI template to track supply chain performance. (OTIF, Strike rate, backlog, etc.). Any low performance should be reviewed and root cause and actions identified.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in freight, warehousing, and overall supply chain operations.
  • Provide monthly reports on stock availability, logistics performance, and cost-saving initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, customer service, global procurement, and operations teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and regional offices to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, freight, and distribution processes.
  • Experience in managing 3PL providers and logistics vendors.
  • Experience in an international environment is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Pro-active, service orientated, enthusiastic team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
