Distribution Manager

**Primary Job Purpose**:
Lead the Distribution Team to ensure efficient and effective deliveries to customer while at all times ensuring policies/procedures and best practice standards are complied with. This role is a direct point of contact during all hours for all Distribution business requirements.
**Key Accountabilities**:
**Logistics/Transportation**
- Be able to lead the Distribution team and sufficiently fulfil daily requirements at site;
- Review and approve Delivery Plan from Delivery Planner to ensure timely deliveries to customers for maximum On Time In Full and Case Fill Rate;
- Effective deployment of assets and resources within the Distribution team;
- Management of the truck lease with 3rd Party Logistics inclusive of truck maintenance planning with drivers;
- Work with 3PL partners to ensure all loading dock practices and methods to assure on time deliveries within customer guidelines;
- Plan effective delivery scheduling for 3PL partners during Public Holidays and peak periods requirements;
- Direct the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment;
- Liaise with Customer Service Manager as needed for Delivery related issues;
- Control and liaise with Supply Planning and all 3PL partners for continued stock flow between warehouses and Exports and with Customer Service for complete frozen orders in a timely manner to ensure on time deliveries in local and regional areas;
- Daily SOH reports with 3PL partners and timely reporting for end of week finished goods variance;
- Complete all stock transfers within a timely manner in line with finish goods procedures;
- Complete data collection daily in accordance with budget requirements to enable efficient updating for Cost to Service KPI results;
- Reports are prepared accurately and submitted in accordance with all deadlines;
- Day to day Distribution supervising: e.g. ensuring accurate count and check off quantities of customer products against Daily worksheets; liaise with Supply Planning Team regarding variances and returns; correct despatch and documentation of frozen 3PLs; liaise with Pulau Indah Team to maintain sufficient levels of supplies; management of pallets.
- Verify distribution related invoices for prompt payment and work within the constraints of annual budget;
- Prepare annual Distribution budget taking into account all constraints and strategic plans for Distribution;
- Present monthly Logistics reporting (Cost to Serve KPIs) for monthly management meeting
- Console all regional pallet movements and update systems required.
- Adhere to all Chain of Responsibility laws and policies associated to their duties.
**People Management**
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout the Company;
- Supervision of team members - must be able to give directions to team members and deal with any issues that occur in accordance with ARYZTA processes including roster management, leave management, contingency planning; team meetings;
- Identify and provide training where required, or as directed to develop the skills of team members.
**Policies and Procedures**
- Adhere to all Company and local Policies and Procedures and SOPs including Food Safety and Product Quality, including any amendments, or new policies and procedures that may be implemented.
**OHS**
- Ensure OHS standards and procedures are maintained at all times;
- Promote and practice safe work methods;
- Follow quality system procedures and safety practices;
- Role model appropriate behaviors to all staff;
- Reports injuries immediately and completes Incident Reports immediately;
- Suggest improvements and preventive actions for the Company;
- Participate in Risk Assessment and formulating SOPs as required;
**Experience and Skills Required**:
- Proven 3-5 years of work experience leading a sizeable team in Logistics, Warehousing, or a similar role.
- Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
- Good Microsoft Office Skills, especially MS Office Excel.
- Effective Communication e.g. keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required and responding to phone calls or messages in a timely manner.

- Able to lead the team with good Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Has the ability to work as a part of a multifunctional team.
