Assistant Duty Manager/duty Manager

**Responsibilities**
**Front Office**
**1 Guest Service**
- Ensure provision of excellent guest service at all times
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanour at all times
- Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential guests and accepts hotel reservations
**2 Front Desk**
- Resolve guest issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue
- Ensures safety by following guest check in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security or management
- Adhere to hotel credit limit / floor limit policies
- Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking the guests preferences and special requests
- Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments especially housekeeping, engineering etc
- Cross Check all billing instructions are correctly updated
- Controls cash transactions at the front desk and maintains complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy
**3 Supervisory**
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures
- Train, direct the work of, resolve issues/problems and coach and counsel the front desk team members to ensure a quality operation
- Assist other Rooms functions in servicing the guests during high volume periods
- Takes responsibility in the absence of the Duty Manager
- As a supervisor you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring the front office team
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
- Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.
- Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns
**Requirements and Qualifications**
i Diploma in hospitality or service related discipline
ii At least 3 years of experience in a hospitality or customer-focused industry in supervisory capacity
iii Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure
iv Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
v Excellent grooming standards and professional deposition
vi Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
vii Competent level of IT proficiency
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
