Join us as E-House HSE Manager for the Process Automation Energy Industries Business Area where you will be ensuring there is sufficient expertise to support line managers and employees in the implementation of policies, standards, programs, and practices in the assigned area of responsibility. Coaching, supporting, and providing advice to leadership and line managers on HSE matters, reporting on the performances of the respective organization along the ABB value chain. Leading business specific HSE programs, as agreed. Reporting to Head of E-house Business and this position will be based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct/indirect subordinates according to HR policies to build a strong foundation for the implementation of ABB Group and business/division policies, standards, programs and practices
- Facilitating HSE risk assessment by line management of shop floor employees, i.e., those directly affected by hazards, and ensuring all processes are implemented. Driving learning across the entire organization for continuous improvement
- Reporting on HSE incidents. Providing feedback on lessons learnt as well as best practices from both the person’s own unit and across ABB, to management and employees. Reporting on HSE performance and progress on the implementation of ABB Group sustainability objectives and KPIs (key performance indicators) for the ABB Group, as required
- Ensures the area of responsibility is audited. Assisting line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and role fulfillment, according to local HSE law and ABB management requirements
- Serving as the primary HSE interface within the assigned area of responsibility. Ensuring that HSE capabilities are optimized and aligned to standards, processes, guidance and best practices and ensuring that the appropriate HSE equipment and tools are available and used. Identifying, planning, and initiating the need for training, ex, for employees, site managers, contractors. Driving and ensuring compliance with Group management system
- Driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices. Embeds an exemplary health an safety culture, as well as strong focus on the environment, throughout the respective organization
- Engaging external stakeholders (ex, customers, suppliers) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness of gain commitment to and obtain objective feedback on ABB's HSE efforts and performance. Cooperating with other functions and business partners to drive performance
- Participates in determining the annual budget for the area of responsibility, accountable for managing performance against the agreed financial targets

**Your background**:

- University degree or higher in any discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in multi-national and corporate HSE management field
- Capable of directing several priorities and responding professionally to a variety of external and internal stakeholders
- Able to handle crisis situations professionally, unusual time constraints, multiple and changing priorities
- Experience in large EPC projects, covering electrical, automation, structural, mechanical and construction scope in various countries.
- Strong knowledge of business, policies and organization including HSE systems and tools
- Good cultural understanding with excellent communication skills, structured, results oriented, self-driven, proactive, takes ownership
