The Sales Manager - Wedding Planner position is developed to build strong relationship between hotel and wedding planners & wedding suppliers. The primary goal of this position is to generate leads, convert potential wedding enquiries and handle private Social Events to contribute revenue in achieving commercial budgets of hotel's room accommodation and catering events at Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

The Sales Manager - Wedding Planner position is developed to build strong relationship between hotel and wedding planners & wedding suppliers. The primary goal of this position is to generate leads, convert potential wedding enquiries and handle private Social Events to contribute revenue in achieving commercial budgets of hotel's room accommodation and catering events at Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

**What will I be doing?**
- Achieve Wedding conversion (based on Hilton Kuala Lumpur yearly Budget Plan)
- Review and adjust as necessary wedding strategy (channels, pricing, promotions concept, regional faiths) to maximize conversion and revenues on a rolling 24-month basis.
- Meet clients with the intention of converting revenues that meet the hotel budget.
- Wedding planner account management inclusive of setting up override deals to drive market share
- Alignment of affiliate partners (ie. online wedding portals) to drive and increase volume of leads
- Partner with the wedding planner or supplier to drive commissionable upsell sales
- Management of our new strategy to attend more wedding exhibitions and hotel wedding fairs to drive lead volume
- Initiate building wedding collateral
- Market positioning of Hilton Weddings and tailoring concepts suitable for each property
- Respond to inquiries for functions (by telephone and walk-in guests).
- Assess the physical requirements of the proposed function (no. of pax, time, and type of function) and reserve an appropriate venue for the client in the banquet reservation system.
- Discuss with the clients further details pertaining to an event: menu, beverage, budget, and miscellaneous arrangements.
- Prepare a proposal letter based on the client's requirements, ensuring 8 hours response time or not more than 24 hours based on the department SOP.
- Follow up with clients on proposals and finalize all the arrangements.
- Supervise the work of the Sales Executive or Sales Coordinator (GME) who prepares and distributes instructions and other correspondence.
- Supervise the preparation of arrangements for the concerned function to ensure everything is in order, proactively guiding the client to ensure the event's success.
- Liaise with Banquet Service, Bar Manager, Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, Front Office (or other) prior to the function.
- If on duty, greet the client during the course of the function, to ensure that everything goes smoothly and introduce the Banquet Operations Manager.
- Prepare the Banquet Evaluation Letter after the function.
- Maintain regular contact with the banquet clients.
- Control expenses relating to the function to ensure maximum net profit.
- Prepare necessary Sales Reports as assigned by the Director / Assistant Director of Sales (GME).
- Attend, whenever required, the banquet coordination meeting with all Banquet and Catering Sales Team Members, Executive Chef, Chief Steward, Beverage Manager, Banquet Operations Manager, and F&B Service Manager to communicate the specific information of the requirements of
