Job Description

To lead and inspire a team of Visual Merchandising/Interior design co-workers together with the VM & ID manager in creating an exciting range of presentation solutions.

**Your assignment**
- Lead a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-workers in creating relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions based on the country commercial calendar package to stimulate home furnishing interest.
- Work along with IKEA Food team to create relevant inspiration for Food Range and presentations to attract customers.
- Responsible for gathering and translating the launch package from country commercial calendar package to the team, ensuring an effective and successful launch that will increase the visitation frequency.
- Ensure a good commercial tempo is in place. A good overview of the commercial calendar activities before, during and after the period at all times; acting quickly to exploit commercial opportunities (i.e. working with sales and plan the add-ons pertaining to the activity, home furnishing activities for customers etc), ensuring a strong red thread, optimal visual impact and supported by effective store commercial team.
- Work together with store Com&In and the Commercial Team colleagues to plan the range presentation solutions based on layout as a commercial tool aligned to Country inspiration and communication direction; execute them with high quality, simplicity, cost-effectiveness and efficiency using global tools and best practices.
- Inspire through creativity and imagination to strengthen the IKEA brand and make it trustworthy.
- Responsible for the ordering of materials and racking used in the construction of displays, ensuring that the team always keeps visitors in mind, minimise disruption and communicate changes when working on the shop floor.
- Up-to-date with knowledgeable about retailing, home furnishing, and trends in order to support the Com&IN manager to facilitate workshops that generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression.

Qualifications

- Strong passion for fast-paced, future-oriented retailing environment.
- You have a proven ability to use related designing tools, e.g. AUTOCAD, SKETCH-UP, PHOTOSHOP
- Graduated from Architecture or Interior Architecture background.
- Strong desire to create home furnishing and store solutions that improve people’s life at home and exceed expectations.
- Possess a great understanding of life at home and the trend in the local market to be able to drives people’s behavior and emotions to make sure every launch experience is exciting stimulating home furnishing interest.
- Ability to combine both commercial and aesthetic skills to present and communicate the IKEA product range in a way that drives sales.
- Good analytical and strategic skills and the ability to steer the store business over the short-, mid-and long term.
- Ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings o improve planning and performance moving forward.
