Experience and qualifications: Typically, a CSO position requires several years of experience in security management, preferably in the hospitality industry. A background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security is often valued. A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice or security management, may be required or preferred. 2. Knowledge of security systems: Strong knowledge of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems, is essential. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices may also be necessary in the digital age.
