The Project Executive will be our on-the-ground key personnel responsible for the completion of a short to medium term refurbishment and renovation project in an existing school on Penang Island.

This person shall also assist in looking after the buildings, facilities, surrounding grounds, equipment, and supplies of the relevant organisation's campus. Their responsibilities include supervising grounds maintenance workers, janitors, and building maintenance and repair workers to get the job done.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, and report regularly to project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Anticipate any potential project risks, perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions

**Requirements and Skills**
- A minimum of one year’s experience or tertiary study within the project management industry or a related environment is preferred but not compulsory in lieu of minimum 1 year’s experience in this capacity
- Strong interpersonal skills, confident liaising with suppliers and clients
- Self-motivation and the ability to work under one’s own initiative, priorities and multitask
- IT literate: proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel and Project; as well as AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Good written communication skills
- A willingness to travel
- Positive and confident with an eagerness to learn
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Preferably have an existing network of suppliers and service providers related to the projects, and preferably within the local area, region or state of the project location.

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
